The clinical and simulation faculty person works collaboratively with the current innovative practice and simulation center (IPSC) coordinator to plan, schedule and implement lab and simulation learning activities/modules, including, but not limited to demonstration, teaching and evaluation of learning activities. The faculty member is expected to have oversight of several clinical lab and/or simulation groups primarily at the BSN level. This individual is also responsible for assisting faculty with students during additional practice time. Department of Laboratory Sciences University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Health Professions   Faculty Position - Medical Laboratory Sciences   Title:    Faculty Rank:  Professorial appointment (instructor, assistant or associate professor), tenure or non-tenure track   Functions and Responsibilities   The Department of Laboratory Sciences in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for a full-time, 12-month faculty position, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are searching for a team-oriented faculty member to join the successful, dynamic and student-oriented medical laboratory sciences program.  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Tenure or non-tenure track is available, depending on academic qualifications. Position reports to the medical laboratory sciences program director.   The program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. The program offers a full- or part-time day program with one cohort of up to 30 students beginning each fall semester. The full-time track requires 17 months to complete. The part-time track allows students a maximum of five semesters to complete the program. The program also offers an MLT-to-MLS distance track that is designed for medical laboratory technicians (MLTs). Upon completion of the full-time, part-time, or MLT-to-MLS track, a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences is awarded.   UAMS is Arkansas’ only academic health center with seven institutes including the Reynolds Institute on Aging, Stephens Spine Institute, Jones Eye Institute, Myeloma Institute for Research & Therapy, Psychiatric Research Institute, Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute seek to hire a Board Certified Genetic Counselor to join our academic and clinical faculty. This is a unique opportunity to be both faculty member with teaching responsibilities as well as a practicing genetic counselor.  This is a full-time, 12-month non-tenure-track faculty position, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The position provides the opportunity to participate in didactic teaching, clinical practice, clinical training of genetic counseling graduate students, community outreach, and research.
