  • Overview

    The Assistant Director of Programs will administer and manage community-based research and programs; train staff; make sure report and budget requirements are met and adhered to.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs and supervisors 6-8 staff to accomplish grant activities
    • Ensures all grant required budget and reports area completed within requirements
    • Implements and oversees research project timeline
    • Oversees the training of staff and faculty on grant specific activities and proper handling of confidential materials and documents based on HIPAA, IRB, NIH, PCORI, CDC,  and study related protocols

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a business, health related or scientific field plus 4 years’ project management experience within a research or community based setting.

     

    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; strong problem solving skills; able to understand and analyze complex human subject research issues; ability to work independently and interdependently; experience with Microsoft Office required; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work under deadline pressure. Valid AR drivers' license required with current automobile insurance and reliable car for moderate travel to UAMS in Little Rock, AR and surrounding communities (mileage reimbursed at the current state mileage reimbursement rate).  Occasional out-of-state travel required.
